Admission Purpose:
The purpose of admission to the department is to help you, the patient, return to maximum functionality according to the limitations of the injury. The expertise of the treatment team, believing in your desire to rehabilitate, and the cooperation of you and your family will bring us closer to achieving complete rehabilitation.
Who are the patients that come for treatment?
Neurological rehabilitation – after cerebral events and various neurological injuries.
Orthopedic rehabilitation – after fractures in various joints, hip or knee replacement, road accidents.
Prosthetic rehabilitation – after amputation of limbs, including prosthetic fitting and guidance throughout the process of obtaining rights from the Ministry of Health.
General rehabilitation – functional decline due to severe and prolonged illness.
Multidisciplinary Team:
In the rehabilitation departments, a multidisciplinary team is available:
Physicians – diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of the patient’s medical, mental, and rehabilitation status.
Nurse – treatment and assistance in daily activities, counseling, and guidance for the patient and their family at all stages of rehabilitation and preparation for discharge.
Physiotherapist – assessment and treatment aimed at restoring functional ability to the maximum level, considering the limitations of the injury. Advice on adapting mobility aids.
Occupational therapist – assessment and treatment to promote the ability to function in daily activities and return to work, considering motor, sensory, and cognitive limitations. Advice and adaptation of assistive devices and housing according to needs and functional ability.

Social worker – support and counseling for the patient and their family, mediation with community services, guidance towards discharge home or to other community institutions.
Speech therapist – assessment, treatment, and counseling in swallowing, speech, and alternative communication disorders
Dietitian – nutritional assessment and treatment according to nutritional needs.
If necessary, guidance will be provided before discharge regarding proper nutrition.
Once a week a multi-professional meeting is held, where we discuss the patient’s progress and plan his further rehabilitation and the date of discharge.
