The role of the housemother at Bet Hadar is to provide a response and to assist in rapid acclimatization. The housemother serves as a link between the patients’ families and the caregiving staff; we try to facilitate the transition between living at home to living in a facility.
As the housemother and the manager of housekeeping, I coordinate all the different housekeeping aspects at Bet Hadar such as, cleaning the facility, ensuring fresh hot meals every day and clean laundry.
Bet Hadar’s staff is a skilled team that also knows how to be humane, caring, attentive and with a genuine desire to help people, all while working as a team. Their care is professional with tolerance, perseverance, determination to help and with a smile that is no less important factor in the recovery process.
