Our Patient Safety Unit focuses on risk management, quality improvement, and promoting patient safety through proactive and reactive measures.

• Proactive Measures:

  – Preventing adverse events before they occur

  – Peer learning and feedback

• Reactive Measures:

  – In-depth learning from events to minimize harm

  – Multidisciplinary learning

• Encouraging a culture of reporting and investigating “near misses“

• Transparency, sharing, and reflection:

  – Open communication with the Ministry of Health, patients, and their families to foster trust
